The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for February 17-23. Ellie Fisher from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was recognized as the women's lacrosse player of the week. The decision was made by an anonymous vote among WIAC head coaches.
Fisher came close to breaking a scoring record during the Blugolds' home game against Augustana on February 22, where she scored seven goals and provided an assist, contributing significantly to the team's 21-4 victory. Her performance was just one goal short of matching the program's single-game record of eight goals. In a previous match against Centre College on February 15, Fisher scored three goals in a 13-10 win.
