Blugolds women's tennis falls to Carleton College in Minnesota

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team faced Carleton College in a neutral site match in Rochester, Minnesota. The Blugolds were defeated 7-0 by the No. 22 ranked Knights.

In the doubles competition, Anna Lee and Samantha Fuchs initially led their opening set at No. 1 doubles but lost with a score of 6-2. In singles play, Anna Lee also started strong with a 4-1 lead in her opening set at No. 2 singles but was ultimately defeated with scores of 6-4, 6-0.

Morgan Dekan and Olivia Herzog played at No. 2 doubles and managed to close the gap to a two-game deficit before being defeated 6-3.

Looking ahead, the Blugolds will return home to host UW-Superior on Sunday, February 23 at the John & Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center at 2 p.m.
