Whitetail Golf Course | UW-Eau Claire Blugolds
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's track and field teams participated in the Caged Eagle Invite held at UW-La Crosse. The women's team secured second place, while the men's team finished fourth.
The women's team accumulated 73.5 points, with UW-La Crosse winning the event by scoring 166.5 points. On the men's side, UW-Eau Claire earned 56 points, with UW-La Crosse leading with 236.5 points.
Several Blugold athletes achieved top-three finishes during the meet:
In the men's events, Blake Postler took third place in the 60-meter hurdles. Jack Schreiber came in second in the 200-meter dash, followed by Colin McClowry in third place for the same event. Wes Keller secured second place in the high jump, and Izaak Clendenning, Jack Schreiber, Harrison Cull, and Colin McClowry together placed third in the 4x400-meter relay.
For the women’s events, Emilee Booker finished third in the 60-meter hurdles. Allison Weissinger claimed third place in the 3,000-meter run. The relay team consisting of Kylee Grabarski, McKenzie Kruse, Allyson Kakes, and Mya Cinnamo took second place in their event. Laura Bertrang also achieved a second-place finish in high jump.
Looking ahead, both teams will compete at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships from February 28 to March 1 in Stevens Point. The competition is set to start at 11:30 a.m. on February 28.
