Whitetail Golf Course | UW-Eau Claire Blugolds
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's track and field teams participated in the Snowshoe Open at the University of Minnesota, where they showcased strong performances. The Blugolds achieved one event victory and secured several top-five finishes, highlighting their indoor season.
Adam Strouf from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, a senior on the men's team, excelled by winning the men's shot put with a throw of 17.88 meters. This achievement marks the best throw in Division III this season and represents Strouf's personal best for the season. Additionally, Strouf was the leading Blugold in the men's weight throw, finishing eighth.
In women's events, Kayla Behnke from Appleton, Wisconsin/Kimberly led her team by placing fourth in the shot put and fifth in the weight throw. Teagan Jones from Lake Zurich, Illinois also performed well by securing fourth place in the weight throw.
Looking ahead, the Blugolds are set to compete at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships scheduled for February 28 to March 1 in Stevens Point. The competition will commence at 11:30 a.m. on February 28.
