The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey team secured a decisive 8-1 victory over Northland College on Saturday at Hobbs Ice Arena. This win completed their season sweep of the LumberJills in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play.

Ava Bullert, a junior from North Oaks, Minnesota, led the Blugolds with two goals. The team improved their record to 17-7-0 overall and 9-2-0 in conference play. Freshman Jess Eykyn from Mankato, Minnesota, initiated the scoring late in the first period. Although Northland managed to tie the game midway through the second period, UW-Eau Claire quickly regained control.

Junior Keira Bolt from Boise, Idaho, scored to put the Blugolds ahead with nine minutes remaining in the second period. Freshman Lauren Ballinger from Shoreview, Minnesota, extended their lead four minutes later. Sophomore Ava Johansson from Rogers, Minnesota, further increased their advantage by scoring just before the end of the period.

In the third period, Bullert scored again on a power play early on. Senior Samantha Bandholz from Richfield, Wisconsin added another power-play goal shortly after. Junior Sam Moehle from Farmington, Minnesota contributed another goal with about 12 minutes left in the game. Bullert concluded the scoring with her second goal at 6:16.

Senior Kaia Hollingsworth from Methuen, Massachusetts made two saves as goalie to secure the win for UW-Eau Claire.

Sophomore Kylie Wiltse from Maplewood, Minnesota and freshman Adrienne Hansen from Monticello, Minnesota each provided three assists for UW-Eau Claire. Sophomore Maddie Hulter from Fergus Falls, Minnesota added two assists.

The Blugolds will conclude their regular season with an away game against No. 2 ranked UW-River Falls on Saturday, February 22 at 2:05 p.m.
