The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's diving teams delivered a strong performance at the Dodd Road Invitational, held on Saturday at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. Several team members emerged victorious in their respective events.
Blake Wallen, a sophomore from Savage, Minnesota, claimed first place in the men's six-dive competitions for both the one-meter and three-meter boards. Wallen achieved scores of 241.90 and 274.05, respectively.
In the women's events, Claire Grady secured victory in the six-dive competition on the one-meter board with a score of 158.75. Additionally, Ella Josephs from Plymouth, Wisconsin, won the women's 11-dive competition on the three-meter board with a score of 359.15.
Josephs also earned third-place finishes alongside Claire Grady and Jordan Kuhn from Waukesha, Wisconsin. Meanwhile, TJ Kuhn took second place in the men's 11-dive competition on the one-meter board.
Looking ahead, the Blugolds will participate in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships from February 19-22 at Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host this event.
