There were 1,832 students enrolled in Altoona School District schools in the 2023-24 school year, 3.1% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 52.2% of them were boys, and 0% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 83.1% of the Altoona School District total enrollment.

Altoona School District covers four schools within Eau Claire County, with its main office in Altoona.

Among the four schools in the Altoona School District, Altoona Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 597 students in the 2023-24 school year.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.
