The Hudson School District is seeking proposals for educational resources aimed at enhancing its high school mathematics curriculum. The district, which serves 1,700 students at one high school, is focused on acquiring materials for a range of courses including A.P. Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1 and 2, A.P. Calculus AB and BC, Intermediate Algebra, as well as remedial or intervention materials for Algebra and Geometry. Additionally, resources are sought for Data Science and Computer Programming.
This initiative is part of the district's Curriculum Improvement Process to ensure a comprehensive curriculum across these subjects. Vendors interested in participating must submit sample materials and a written summary by December 2nd. "Complete and return this Vendor Submission Form no later than November 25th, 2024," states the district's announcement.
The selection process involves three phases: submission of materials by vendors; preliminary review to determine finalists; and presentations by finalists scheduled around January 20, 2025. The final decision will be made before the end of March 2025 with implementation planned for the fall of the following school year.
Criteria for selection include alignment with learning standards, developmental appropriateness, research-based content quality, user-friendly student materials that encourage multiple instructional strategies, and support social-emotional learning competencies. Professional supports such as strategic plan alignment and professional learning plans are also emphasized.
The district stresses that this RFP is not a competitive bid but reserves rights regarding proposal acceptance or rejection. Ethical guidelines against collusive bidding or bribery are clearly outlined to maintain fairness in the process.
Proposals should be sent to Laura Mlynarczyk at Hudson School District by mail or email. Queries can be directed to her via email or phone.
