The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team faced a challenging game against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, resulting in a 42-31 loss at Carson Park. Despite the defeat, senior player Isaac Garside set a new program record for career receptions, surpassing Matt Evensen's previous record of 176 with his 180th catch.

In the first half, UW-Eau Claire showed strong performance by scoring 24 points and keeping close to their opponents with a halftime score of 28-24. Sam Schradle contributed significantly with two touchdown runs, while Jacob Donohue added another scoring run. Connor Radaj narrowed the gap with a field goal just before halftime.

UW-Oshkosh managed to extend their lead in the second half with additional touchdowns in both quarters, securing their victory. Garside scored an eight-yard touchdown pass from Harry Roubidoux late in the game but it was not enough to close the gap.

Garside ended the game with 83 receiving yards and is nearing another milestone as he approaches David Goodman's all-time receiving yards record. Landon Tonsager also had six catches for 81 yards, while Roubidoux completed 31 out of 48 passes for 293 yards.

On defense, Jack Scheldroup made notable contributions with a fumble recovery and an interception. Brady Hoffner led the team with seven tackles. Overall, UW-Oshkosh outgained UW-Eau Claire in total yardage by 455 to 388.

The Blugolds are set to play their final road game of the season against UW-Platteville on November 9 at Pioneer Stadium.
