UW-Eau Claire athletes earn all-region honors in track and field

All-Region honors for the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) after the regular season concluded. Among over 2400 student athletes recognized, 17 athletes from UW-Eau Claire received acknowledgment as Blugolds on the USTFCCCA North All-Region teams.

The criteria for earning All-Region honors included being among the top five individuals in each event from each region or being a member of a top-three ranked relay team.

The list of Blugolds named to the All-Region teams is as follows:

Men's All-Region Winners:

Isaiah Bauer (Pole Vault), Yakob Ekoue (Discus, Hammer, Shot Put), Stefan Klechefski (100m), Tommy Mestnick (Javelin), Ayden Fleeharty (Pole Vault), Gage Stankiewicz (Shot Put), Mitch Stegeman (Decathlon), Josiah Ziebell (400m Hurdles).

Women's All-Region Winners:

Kayla Behnke (Discus, Hammer), Laura Bertrang (Javelin), Emilee Booker (100m Hurdles, Long Jump), Jaryn Johannsen (400m Hurdles), Teagan Jones (Discus, Hammer), Allyson Kakes (200m), Jane Kautz (Heptathlon), Lauryn Rustad (Heptathlon), Ella Williamson (High Jump).
