The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team made notable progress during the second round of the Golfweek October Classic, held in Sandestin, Florida. The Blugolds advanced from 21st to 18th place among 24 competing teams.
Ben Pausha, a junior from Delafield, Wisconsin, showed remarkable improvement by climbing 50 positions to secure 47th place. He achieved a second-round score of 68, culminating in a two-round total of 145. Nick Amtmann, a senior from Nashotah, Wisconsin, also delivered a strong performance with a score of 69 in the second round, which placed him at 58th overall with a total score of 146. Freshman Luke Taebel from Holmen, Wisconsin completed his second round with a score of 71 and secured the 65th position individually.
