The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team concluded the first day of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship in seventh place. The event is being held at Reedsburg Country Club, with the Blugolds trailing four shots behind the sixth position after collectively shooting 348.
Leading the field is UW-Whitewater with a score of 315. Elizabeth Hermann from Macomb Township, Michigan, carded an 83, tying for 18th place to lead her team. Close behind is Lilly Kaminski from Green Bay, Wisconsin, who scored an 84 and is tied for 25th.
Other notable performances include Olivia McSorley from Elm Grove, Wisconsin, finishing with an 89 in sole possession of 47th place. Riane Hayden from Mondovi, Wisconsin, tied for 50th with a score of 91. Bri Novak from Red Wing, Minnesota, and Lydia Jensen from Osseo, Wisconsin, are positioned at tied for 54th and in 63rd place with scores of 92 and 95 respectively.
The WIAC Championship continues on Saturday at Reedsburg Country Club starting at 8:30 a.m., concluding on Sunday.
