The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team achieved a comprehensive victory over UW-Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual, held at 10th Street Park. The Blugolds won all matches with a score of 9-0, enhancing their conference dual record to 4-1 this fall.

In singles competition, the Blugolds secured victories in all six matches without losing a set. Samantha Fuchs emerged victorious in the No. 1 flight with scores of 6-1, 6-1. Liv Herzog and Reese Burton also delivered strong performances, dropping only three games combined in their respective matches.

The doubles play was equally dominant for UW-Eau Claire, winning 24 games compared to UW-Stevens Point's three. Fuchs paired with Anna Lee to claim an 8-0 win in the No. 1 match.

With one dual remaining in the conference schedule, both Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse stand at 4-1 on the season. This positions the Blugolds with an opportunity to either secure or share the top spot in the regular season standings.

The team's final fall dual is scheduled against UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, October 5 at Altoona's 10th Street Park, starting at 2 p.m.
