Spencer Flaten Assistant Sports Information Director | UW-Eau Claire Blugolds Website
The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the period of September 2 to 8. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team's Anna Lee, from Buffalo, Minnesota, was named singles player of the week by an anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches.
Lee commenced WIAC action with victories against UW-River Falls and UW-Stout. Competing at No. 1 singles against UW-Stout, she achieved a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win. In the match against UW-River Falls, Lee played at No. 2 singles and defeated Alexis Budzinski 6-1, 6-1, contributing to the Blugolds' two WIAC sweeps on September 7.
