UW-Eau Claire women's golf places fourth in Georgianni Invitational

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team hosted the annual Georgianni Invitational over the weekend at The Valley Golf Course on Saturday and the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club on Sunday. The Blugolds finished fourth out of five teams with a total score of 707 strokes.

Lilly Kaminski, a sophomore from Green Bay, Wisconsin, led UW-Eau Claire with a two-round total of 168 strokes, tying for fourth place individually. Kaminski was tied for the lead after the first day, shooting nine over par.

Elizabeth Hermann, a sophomore from Macomb Township, Michigan, tied for ninth overall with 175 strokes. Hermann improved her performance on day two with a round of 82 at the Country Club. Olivia McSorley, a senior from Elm Grove, Wisconsin, and Bri Novak, a junior from Red Wing, Minnesota, both broke 90 with scores of 89 on day one.

The Blugolds will compete next in a two-day tournament at UW-La Crosse starting Saturday, September 14th. The UWL Invite is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
