Blugolds fall to St. Kate's despite strong defense

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team faced St. Catherine University in a nonconference match on Saturday in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The game was marked by physical play, resulting in five yellow cards and 18 fouls. Despite a strong defensive effort, the Blugolds were unable to prevent St. Kate's from scoring twice, leading to a 2-0 defeat.

Johanna Thompson and Ava Glenn were the only Blugolds to register shots on goal during the match. Allison Raasch and Paige Crawford led the team with a combined 171 minutes of playing time.

Kennedy Boll made seven saves out of nine shots but recorded her second loss of the season, bringing her record to 2-2-0.

The Blugolds (2-2-0) will continue their season on Friday, September 13th at the North Central Invitational in Naperville, Illinois. They are scheduled to play against Albion College at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
