The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team secured a 3-0 victory against Hamline University in a nonconference match on Thursday evening. The Blugolds demonstrated control over the game from the beginning, resulting in a shutout win.
Molly Henderson initiated the scoring for UW-Eau Claire in the 17th minute with her first goal of the season. Sophie Hubbard extended the lead in the 25th minute with a header, giving the Blugolds a 2-0 advantage at halftime.
Jayda Swopes solidified the win with a curling shot from outside the 18-yard box in the 47th minute, finding the top right corner of the net.
Kori Millis, Caroline Curran, and Lisette Thurman each provided primary assists for UW-Eau Claire's goals.
Goalkeeper Kennedy Boll recorded four saves to achieve her second shutout of the season and secure her second win. Boll's record now stands at 2-1-0, with 14 career shutouts.
The Blugolds (2-1-0) will next face St. Catherine University on Saturday, September 7th. The match is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m.
