The Princeton Review’s “2025 Best Colleges: Region by Region” has listed 631 colleges across various zones, including the Midwest, Northeast, South, Southwest, Mid-Atlantic, West, and International regions. The national education services company describes these institutions as "academically outstanding and well worth consideration in your college search."
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (UW-Eau Claire) is among four Wisconsin public universities featured on the list of 151 premier colleges in the Midwest. Additionally, it is one of just six public universities from Wisconsin and Minnesota to be included.
The Princeton Review's list is entirely based on student survey results. Comments from UW-Eau Claire students highlighted several positive aspects of the university:
Eau Claire was described as a "great college town" where "campus life is awesome." One student remarked, "The dorm life here is amazing and very community-based. Each hall kind of has its own theme, so you get to meet people of similar majors and get advice from seniors on which classes to take, how to plan out your years at college." Another student noted that there are "so many" study abroad programs and "astounding graduate-level research" opportunities available to hundreds of undergraduates regularly.
