Fellow adventurers, the winds of thrill are calling out to you! Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry has an epic challenge for you! Discover the hidden treasures of a city rich in history. Grab your hiking boots or fat tire bike and let the adventure begin! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to solve the captivating crosswords regarding the eight bridges that grace the City of Eau Claire’s trail system. But fear not! Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry will be your guide, leading you to victory!
Where can you find the crossword puzzle? Download, print or fill-in the Bridges of the City Crossword Puzzle right from our website at: https://www.eauclairewi.gov/recreation/family-fun. Want a printed copy? Stop by the Recreation Administrative Office at 915 Menomonie Street during office hours, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Printed copies are also available at the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce offices at 101 N. Farwell Street, Suite 101, Eau Claire. Chamber of Commerce office hours are Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Read the riddles, complete the crossword puzzle, and conquer your quest to take photos with each of the City Trail Bridges. Here's the inside scoop: kick off your journey on the Downtown City trails. Walk, run or bike your way through the trails and you might just find yourself crossing all eight City bridges in a scenic 8-mile loop. To be eligible for prizes, register your family or as an individual at: http://activenet.active.com/Eauclaire/. Send a photo of your completed crossword puzzle and a photo at each bridge location to recreation@eauclairewi.gov. Every correct photo you snap of your conquests will be a new chance in our drawings! The quest begins on February 1st and ends on February 29th 2024.
Winners will be announced on the Eau Claire Parks, Recreation & Forestry Facebook Page following the week of the event ending. So, let the adventure begin and let the fates bless your noble quest!
