A bear has been migrating through the well site behind the water plant off Riverview Dr.

While not designated an official park, this area contains trails and is often used by mountain bikers and neighbors.

If you are in any wooded area in our Parks or Trails, please be alert and use caution. Remember, pets should be on a leash.

The Wisconsin DNR tells us that the bear is progressing into hibernation and is best left alone at this time. Relocation at this time would likely lead to the death of the bear, per wildlife experts.

If something changes, and the bear becomes aggressive or destructive, please call the USDA at 1-800-228-1368. (The USDA is the authority the DNR defers to for trapping and relocating bears.)
