University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has announced the appointment of Kyle Seyer as Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Men's and Women's Tennis. The announcement was made by Jason Verdugo, the university's Director of Athletics.
Seyer will manage both the men's and women's tennis programs while also taking on administrative duties within Blugold Athletics. "We are pleased to announce the addition of Kyle to our administrative team as the leader of our tennis programs," Verdugo stated. "His exceptional energy and work ethic will significantly enhance both areas. Kyle's foremost strength lies in his remarkable ability to connect with student-athletes."
Prior to this role, Seyer served as Athletic Director at Regis Catholic Schools in Eau Claire from 2023 to 2025. He also led their boys' and girls' tennis teams from 2012 to 2025, guiding 12 teams to the WIAA State Tournament. His coaching achievements include leading girls' teams to Division 2 state runner-up finishes in 2016 and 2021, with a combined record of 397-131 for both varsity teams. Eight student-athletes from his programs achieved all-state status under his guidance.
Seyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from UW-Eau Claire, graduating in 2015. Reflecting on his new position, Seyer expressed gratitude: "I'm truly grateful and excited to begin my role as Director of Men's and Women's Tennis and Assistant Athletic Director at UW-Eau Claire," he said. "Returning to campus as an alumnus makes this opportunity very meaningful and full circle. I sincerely appreciate the trust Jason Verdugo and (Associate Athletic Director) Robin Baker have placed in me. I look forward to leading our tennis programs and contributing to the continued success of Blugold Athletics."
