On Tuesday, April 8, former Chippewa Falls High School standout Morgan Wirtz’s current college team, the Saint Mary's Cardinals, won 5-2 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Gustavus Adolphus Golden Gusties.

The game took place at Gustie Softball Field. This was their second matchup against the Golden Gusties this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 3 p.m. at Saint Mary's Softball Field against UW La Crosse Eagles.
