Registration is now open for the Miracle League of the Chippewa Valley, a program under Goodwill North Central Wisconsin (Goodwill NCW). This initiative provides individuals aged four to nineteen with disabilities the chance to play baseball in an organized, non-competitive environment on a safe and accessible field.

“Goodwill NCW’s Miracle League program gives those with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball at an accessible facility while building relationships, engaging socially with others and learning important life skills like teamwork and communication to help them overcome barriers,” stated Tim Wavrunek, Mission Team Leader of Community Programs at Goodwill NCW. “We are excited to welcome familiar faces and new ones to this program.”

The season will last eight weeks starting in June. Players are paired with community volunteers who assist them during games. The league also seeks volunteer pitchers, umpires, announcers, coaches, and team helpers. The public is encouraged to attend as supportive fans.

Registration for players and volunteers begins online on February 1 and closes on March 31.

Miracle League of the Chippewa Valley games will take place at Miracle Field located in Jeffers Road Park in Eau Claire. For more information or registration details, visit goodwillncw.org/mlcv.

Goodwill North Central Wisconsin operates as a nonprofit organization dedicated to "Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment." They focus on providing pathways for underserved communities aiming for sustained employment and financial stability through skill-building opportunities within their retail stores and workplaces.
