Nick Amtmann, a senior from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, is positioned in the top 25 as he heads into the final round of The Thunderbolt tournament at Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club in Surprise, Arizona. Competing against some of the nation's top college golfers, Amtmann is tied for 25th place after two rounds.
Amtmann has maintained a score of one under par throughout the tournament. He achieved an even-par 72 during Monday's second round, following his opening round score of 71 on Sunday. During his recent performance, Amtmann recorded five birdies and five bogeys, with four birdies made in his first 12 holes. Currently, he trails the leader by seven strokes and is among 31 golfers who are under par in this competition.
The final round of The Thunderbolt will take place on Tuesday, December 31st, with players beginning their rounds at 9 a.m. Mountain Time.
