The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball team secured a victory over St. Norbert College with a final score of 84-75 on Saturday at the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center in De Pere, Wisconsin. The win marks the third consecutive triumph for the Blugolds.

Five players from UW-Eau Claire scored in double figures, contributing to all of the team's points. Among them, Andre Renta shared the game high with 20 points, also recording six rebounds and four assists. Carter Huschka and Michael Casper each added 18 points; Huschka further contributed seven rebounds and six assists. Gunnar Tebon achieved a season-high of 17 points.

The match was closely contested during the first half, with neither team gaining more than a six-point lead. UW-Eau Claire held a narrow advantage at halftime with a score of 38-35.

With the score tied at 55 just under 13 minutes before the end, UW-Eau Claire took control through successful three-pointers by Cade Hall, Huschka, and Tebon. This led to a decisive 9-2 run that put them ahead for good. Despite efforts from St. Norbert College to close the gap to five points at 78-73 with two minutes remaining, UW-Eau Claire maintained their lead by making six free throws in the last moments of regulation.

Cade Hall completed his performance with a double-double consisting of 11 points and 11 rebounds — his fourth double-double this season out of seven games played.

UW-Eau Claire exhibited efficiency by shooting both from the field and beyond the arc at an accuracy rate of 47%. The team also managed to limit turnovers to just five throughout the game — their lowest count this season.

Looking ahead, UW-Eau Claire will continue their road games as they face Crown College on Wednesday, December 4th at St. Bonifacius, Minnesota.
