FOIA Request to Town Of Alvin Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Chippewa Valley Times have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records pertaining to new voter registrations. Specifically, we are seeking a list of voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization, our role is not only to gather and report news but also to hold public institutions accountable and ensure transparency. Access to public records is essential in fulfilling these responsibilities. In light of this role, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
We await the response from the Town Of Alvin and will continue our work in providing transparent and reliable information to the public.
