FOIA Request to Town Of Drammen Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Chippewa Valley Times have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Town Of Drammen. The request was made under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., and was sent on November 7, 2024.
Our request specifically asked for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024. As a media organization dedicated to transparency and accountability in public institutions, access to such records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
We believe that providing this information will contribute significantly towards maintaining transparency in the electoral process and ensuring that the public is well-informed about recent developments in their community.
In line with our role as a media organization disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver for this information. We are awaiting a response from the Town Of Drammen regarding our request.
