A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the City of Glenwood City, Wisconsin on November 7, 2024. The request, issued by us at Chippewa Valley Times, sought detailed information regarding new voter registrations that took place on November 5, 2024.

The requested records are expected to shed light on the number of same-day registered voters during the recent election. Same-day registration allows eligible citizens to register and vote at the same time, often leading to higher voter turnout rates.
We have requested these records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., and have asked for them in an electronic format for ease of access and analysis. Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have also asked for a fee waiver as a media professional.
