The Hall of Fame Committee and Small College Basketball have announced the 2024 class for the Hall of Fame. This year's class includes notable figures from small college basketball, recognized for their significant contributions to the sport. Among the 12 inductees is Ken Anderson, a renowned coach from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Anderson's coaching career spanned 27 years with an impressive record of 631-152. He led his team to 14 conference titles and participated in the NAIA tournament 15 times, reaching the Elite Eight on eight occasions and advancing twice to the NAIA championship game. His career winning percentage stands at an outstanding 80.6%, marking him as one of college basketball's most successful coaches. Additionally, Anderson served as the gold medal coach for the USA team at the World University Games in Mexico City and was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 1990.
This year marks the eighth induction ceremony for the Small College Basketball National Hall of Fame. The event will take place on Friday, November 1, at Polk Theatre in Lakeland, Florida.
The committee responsible for selecting this year's inductees includes Don Landry, Roy Pickerill, Jim Nelson, Doug Palm, Rich Zvosec, Gary Pine, Gary Stewart, Mike Lightfoot, John Rinka, Jim Poteet, Greg Moore, Bob Hoffman, Joe Niland, Bob Wilson, Greg Grant, Charlie Brock and Rusty Osborne.
