The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team concluded their regular season with a notable performance at the Bethel Spring Quadrangular held at Victory Links Golf Course in Blaine, Minnesota. Junior golfer Nick Amtmann from Nashotah, Wisconsin, achieved a personal best and set a new program record by completing his round with 63 strokes. His remarkable game included two eagles, four birdies, and no bogeys.

Amtmann started strong with an eagle on the second hole and maintained momentum throughout the course. He finished his front nine two under par and accelerated his pace on the back nine with additional birdies and an eagle between holes 14-16. A final birdie secured his record-setting 8-under round of 63, placing him as the top individual performer among 34 competitors.

Supporting Amtmann's effort were Spencer Lynch and Ben Pausha, who scored rounds of 72 and 73 respectively, both finishing within the top-15. Corey Boerner completed the team's leading scores with a round of 74. The collective efforts led UW-Eau Claire to secure second place out of six participating teams.

The university's B team also showed commendable performances. Fred Moede matched par with a score of 72 while Nick Mueller and Braeden Resnick recorded scores that placed them in the top-20. Ryan Jamieson contributed to the team's overall standing with a score of 77.

Throughout their spring season, UW-Eau Claire consistently placed fourth or better in all five meets they participated in. The team now awaits potential qualification for the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, which will be announced on Monday, May 6.
