The UW-Eau Claire Men's golf team showcased a commendable performance at the UW-Stout Invitational, which took place on Sunday and Monday. The team secured second place out of 22 teams with a cumulative score of 575, just one stroke behind the tournament leader.
Ben Pausha (Jr. – Delafield, Wis.) and Lucas Ladd (So. – Mequon, Wis.) both tied for third overall, each finishing 1-under par after two days of play.
Luke Taebel (Fr. – Holmen, Wis.) performed well, tying for 11th place with a score of 2-over par for the tournament.
Nick Amtmann (Sr. – Nashotah, Wis.) concluded the event in a three-way tie for 14th with a total of 145 strokes over two days.
Looking ahead, the Blugolds will participate in the Golfweek October Classic from October 13-15. This event will be held at The Raven Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
