Construction has commenced at Hudson Middle School, North Hudson Elementary, and EP Rock Elementary Schools this fall. The community approved these capital projects in April 2023. Initial bids exceeded the budget, leading the School District to rebid the projects in spring. This resulted in a savings of approximately four million dollars.

North Hudson Elementary held its groundbreaking ceremony on September 10th. Over the next several months, construction will focus on adding a two-stage gymnasium and media center, as well as updating the building’s utility service. Classroom remodeling and other interior updates are set to begin in January.

Ensuring safety for students and staff during construction is a priority. Protective fencing has been installed outside, and temporary partition walls will block access to classrooms being updated. These measures aim to minimize noise, dust, and disruptions to maintain an effective learning environment.

At Hudson Middle School, efforts have shifted towards interior improvements. The media center now features new furniture and shelving for a more functional learning space that supports both individual study and collaborative learning with flexible seating arrangements.

Planning continues at EP Rock Elementary with construction scheduled to start in January.

All three projects are expected to be completed by fall 2025.
