In the 75th minute, Thompson added an insurance goal with another header into the bottom right corner, assisted by Ava Glenn (Jr. – Montgomery, Ill.), marking her first career brace.

Kennedy Boll (Franklin, Wis.) contributed significantly with a seven-save shutout, bringing her career total to 13.

The Blugolds (1-0-0) will host their home opener on Sunday, September 1st against St. Olaf College at Simpson Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
