Census Bureau: 77.9% of people in Chippewa County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 65,877 citizens living in Chippewa County in 2021, 77.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 51,321 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 27,051 were male, constituting 52.7%, and 24,270 were female, making up 47.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Chippewa County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 78%.
