City of Eau Claire Career Fair & Hiring Event

City of Eau Claire issued the following announcement on Sept. 10

Are you interested in learning about career opportunities with the City of Eau Claire? Wondering what types of positions we have available, what we are looking for in a City employee, and why you should apply to work for the City? The City of Eau Claire Human Resources Department would like to invite the public to a City Career Fair and Hiring Event which will feature City departments/divisions!

Divisions that have openings will be conducting on-site interviews at the event. Divisions with openings include Transit, Streets, Utilities, Police Department, and more! An application must be on file for an on-site interview to be conducted. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply prior to the event. Computers will be available for use at the event on a first come, first serve basis, if needed. Other departments/divisions will be available to answer your questions and provide additional information on career opportunities.

We currently have part-time, full-time, and temporary positions available! Interviews for positions will be first come, first served!

Event Details

Date: Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021

Time: 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Location: City Hall parking lot (203 South Farwell Street)

Event Process

Depending on where you are in your career search, we will have opportunities for you:

  • Option 1: If you are interested in interviewing for any of the open positions listed below, follow these steps.
    • Apply to the City Career Fair application at www.eauclairewi.gov/jobs
      • Apply ahead of time or computers will be available for use at the event (first come, first served).
    • Select the position(s) you are interested in on your application
    • Mark your calendar with the event date (9/22), time (3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.), and location (City Hall Parking Lot)
    • Attend the event to interview
      • Interviews will be first come, first served
  • Option 2: If you are looking for information on City careers or potential future openings, follow these steps.
    • Mark your calendar with the event date (9/22), time (3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.), and location (City Hall Parking Lot)
    • Attend the event to talk with current employees from City departments regarding City careers you are interested in learning more about.
      • No need to apply!
Open Positions Include: Community Service Officer (Seasonal), Community Service Worker I (Streets), Fiscal Associate II (Accounting Services), Full-Time Bus Operator, Part-Time Bus Operator, Recreation Fall/Winter Part-Time Positions, Telecommunicator (911 Dispatcher), Utility Operator I (Water Plant), and Utility Systems Technician I (Wastewater Collection).
