The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team secured a 7-0 victory over Ripon College during their match in Appleton, Wisconsin. The Blugolds did not drop a set throughout the evening.
In doubles play, Olivia Herzog and Beatriz Felchak took the No. 1 spot with a 6-1 win. Reese Burton and Delaney Hanson followed with a 6-0 result, while Morgan Briggman and Stella Platt completed the doubles sweep by winning 6-2.
The team maintained momentum into singles matches, claiming all six contests in straight sets. Herzog, Felchak, and Burton each won their singles matches in two sets. Aubrey Wittwer earned a No. 4 singles victory with scores of 6-0 and 6-1. Ana Paula Ricaurte and Kiera Schmid both finished their matches without conceding any games to Ripon, each posting 6-0, 6-0 results.
The Blugolds are scheduled to face Lawrence University next in Appleton on Sunday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m.
