FOIA Request to City of Mayville Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at the Chippewa Valley Times have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the City of Mayville. Our request specifically seeks a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As an organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such records is essential for us. We believe that this information will help us in our mission to keep our readers informed about significant developments in their community.
We have requested these records preferably in electronic format for ease of analysis and dissemination. As a media organization, we have also requested a fee waiver for this information.
