FOIA Request to Town of Bloomington Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our continuous efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Chippewa Valley Times have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the Town of Bloomington. The request specifically asks for a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, access to such public records is essential for us. It allows us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include reporting news accurately and timely to the public.
