FOIA Request to Town of Bayview Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Chippewa Valley Times have submitted a request for public records under the Texas Public Information Act, Tex. Gov’t Code §552.001 et seq. The request, sent on November 7, 2024, specifically seeks a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.
As an organization committed to transparency and holding public institutions accountable, we believe access to such records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional.
