Focus on Energy's "Save to Give Challenge

21

City of New Richmond issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.

New Richmond Nonprofits Could Earn $25,000 if Homeowners Save Energy

Focus on Energy® is accepting applications from nonprofits for the” Save to Give Challenge”

New Richmond residents who choose to save money by saving energy in their homes during FOCUS ON ENERGY’s “Save to Give Challenge” program can help three of their favorite, local charities. The “Save to Give Challenge” offers homeowners a chance to make a difference in their community by recording their energy saving actions online. Now, it’s time for nonprofits in the area to apply to be one of the three that could see some large checks.

To be eligible for the “Save to Give Challenge,” nonprofits must be based in or do work in the New Richmond community, be a 501(c)3 entity, use the funds donated from the “Save to Give Challenge” to benefit the community, and be willing to actively recruit participants to join the program.

Nonprofits can apply by clicking HERE, visiting focusonenergy.com/savetogive, or contact Brady Steigauf at brady.steigauf@focusonenergy.com. They can also call 608-284-1756.

The nonprofits will be selected by a group of community members and stakeholders and will be evaluated based on the organization’s ability to get residents of New Richmond to participate in the “Save to Give Challenge.” The more residents actively participate, the more money raised and donated.
