78 percent of applicants to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Eau Claire enrolled 11,604 students in fall 2018, including 10,888 in undergraduate and 716 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

67 percent of undergraduates are residents of Wisconsin, and 32 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (87 percent) and Asian (3 percent).

The school admitted 78 percent of the 6,734 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 47 percent enrolled.
