In the City Council Packet dated April 23, 2024, it was highlighted that individuals who are unable to attend the next City Council meeting or prefer not to speak at the meeting have an alternative way to voice their opinions on agenda items. The Council Members have encouraged the use of the Electronic Comment Form for this purpose.

The Packet emphasized, "If you are unable to attend the next City Council meeting, or do not wish to speak at the meeting, but wish to let Council Members know how you feel on a particular agenda item, you can use the Electronic Comment Form."

Additionally, the City Council has made provisions for members of the public who wish to observe the meeting online. The document stated, "Members of the public who wish to view the meeting online may do so through the City’s Meetings page at www.EauClaireWI.gov/Meetings.  A link to view the meeting will appear shortly before the start of each meeting."

However, it was clarified that online viewing is restricted to observation only. The council reminded, "Please Note: this is for viewing purposes ONLY. Those who wish to participate must appear in-person."

This initiative aims to facilitate greater public engagement and participation in City Council proceedings, ensuring that community members have avenues to express their views and stay informed about local governance.
