The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s lacrosse team lost to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 18–3 at Simpson Field on Apr. 8.
The game saw UW-River Falls take an early lead, with Elizabeth Clough scoring the first goal and her teammates quickly following. By the end of the first quarter, UW-River Falls led 6–0. The Falcons continued to build their advantage throughout the match, while UW-Eau Claire struggled to gain momentum despite defensive efforts and key saves by Lizzy Schoknecht.
Ellie Fisher scored a player-down goal for UW-Eau Claire in the second quarter, marking their first point of the game. Jess Stiller and Victoria Shea also contributed goals for the Blugolds in later quarters, but it was not enough to overcome River Falls’ offense. Bella Jones made three saves as goalkeeper for Eau Claire during her time on the field.
With this result, UW-Eau Claire’s record stands at 5–3 overall and 3–1 in conference play. The Falcons from River Falls remain undefeated in conference games with a record of 11–2 overall and 4–0 in conference.

The program fields more than two dozen varsity sports teams for men and women under the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire athletics department, utilizing various on-campus and off-campus facilities for its 25 intercollegiate teams according to their official website.
