The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s tennis team has received both team and individual academic awards from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their performance in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.

Seven Blugolds earned individual ITA Scholar Athlete honors: Andrew Muller, Jose Felipe Trejo, Otto Schluter, Pablo Rincón, Sam Murillo, Ethan Leeser, and Ethan Wurtzel. According to the ITA’s criteria, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form to qualify for this recognition. Teams achieve distinction by having a collective grade point average of 3.20 or higher.

Across Division III men’s tennis, 1,115 student-athletes and 135 programs were recognized with ITA academic honors this year.
