Senator Julian Bradley, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 28th Senate district since 2021, used his social media platform in mid-April to criticize Governor Tony Evers and Democratic legislators for recent decisions related to taxes, legislative vetoes, and parental access to children’s medical records.
On April 15, Bradley addressed concerns about taxation with a message directed at constituents who worked overtime or for tips: “Did you put in overtime or work for tips last year? Upset about how much you’re paying in taxes? Call Governor Evers and thank him: 608-266-1212.”
The following day, Bradley accused Governor Evers of taking controversial action during the holiday period. On April 16 he posted: “On Good Friday when he hoped nobody was watching, Evers sided with extreme legislative democrats and vetoed several bills. Over the next few days, I’m going to shine a light on his darkness – the consequences of those vetoes, and why it matters to you.”
Later that same day, Bradley raised concerns regarding Democratic lawmakers’ stance on parental involvement in healthcare decisions. He wrote: “These Democrats voted to push parents out of the room. What possible reason could Democrats in Madison have for keeping parents from accessing their children’s medical records?”
Julian Bradley has served as state senator since succeeding Dave Craig in 2021. His public statements come amid ongoing partisan debates over tax policy and transparency in government decision-making.
