Kevin Westhuis, director of River Falls Municipal Utilities, will speak at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on April 8 as part of the Innovators Speaker Series. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. in room 194 of the new Science and Technology Innovation Center, located at 410 S. 3rd St., according to a March 19 announcement.
Westhuis oversees electricity, water, and wastewater services for the city. He will discuss how decisions were made regarding the city’s new wastewater treatment facility and share information about its initial impact.
The Innovators Speaker Series is organized by the University Business Collaboration Center (UBCC) at UW-River Falls. This event marks the third guest speaker in this ongoing series aimed at connecting students and community members with leaders from various industries.
Following Westhuis’s presentation, there will be a question-and-answer session beginning at 7 p.m., with light refreshments served afterward. The event is free and open to all members of the public.
