The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced on Mar. 24 that Paige Kiani of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s lacrosse team has been selected as the Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance during March 16-22.
Kiani’s recognition comes after she contributed to two victories for UW-Eau Claire, including setting a program record with ten goals in a single game against Augustana College (Illinois) and tying the single-game points mark with twelve. She also scored four goals on six shots in a win over Aurora University (Illinois).
The award is determined by an anonymous vote among WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors. The announcement highlights Kiani’s role in helping her team achieve a 2-0 record during the week.
