Former St. Croix Central High School athlete Eli Babler took the field with his college team, the Winona State Warriors, on Sunday, March 15, at 12 p.m., when they earned an 8-5 victory in their NCAA Division II baseball contest against the Sioux Falls Cougars.
Sioux Falls Stadium served as the venue for this game, the Warriors’ third matchup against the Cougars this season. On Saturday, March 14, during their previous encounter, the Warriors fell 8-3.
In the latest game, Babler pitched three innings and finished with one walk and two strikeouts.
The Warriors will face the Sioux Falls Cougars again at Sioux Falls Stadium on Sunday, March 15, at 2 p.m.
