Chippewa Valley Technical College announced on Mar. 31 that it will host the Learn Grow Lead conference for administrative and business professionals on Wednesday, April 22, at its Business Education Center in Eau Claire.

The event aims to provide attendees with opportunities to improve their skills, increase productivity, and gain practical tools to transform their workplaces. Organizers say the conference is designed for those seeking to enhance communication abilities, leadership strategies, and digital literacy.

The daylong program will feature keynote speaker Renee Sommer, owner of At The Roots LLC. Sommer will discuss early signs of burnout, how endurance can be mistaken for resilience, and ways workplace culture may inadvertently reward overextension. In addition to the keynote address, participants can attend a variety of breakout sessions focused on topics such as identifying misinformation online, leading through uncertainty, safety culture, mental health awareness, mindfulness practices, safe spaces at work, and conversation competence.

According to Chippewa Valley Technical College officials in the announcement: “The day will be packed with insightful keynote speakers, hands-on breakout sessions, and plenty of opportunities for networking.” Attendees are encouraged to register or find more information through CVTC’s website.

Chippewa Valley Technical College offers more than 145 programs—including certificates and apprenticeships—both online and on campus. According to CVTC’s release: “CVTC programs are designed with the input of employers throughout the CVTC district to prepare graduates for today’s jobs with 95 percent employed within six months of graduation and associate degree graduates earning an average annual salary of $59,742.”
