The University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension will host the Chippewa Valley Healthy Water Summit, an event aimed at raising awareness about water quality in the region. The summit is scheduled for March 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. It will take place at Chippewa Valley Technical College’s West Campus in Eau Claire.
Organizers say the event is open to all members of the public, including homeowners, landowners, farmers, agency staff, and representatives from local industries. According to the UW–Madison Division of Extension, “The Chippewa Valley Healthy Water Summit is relevant to homeowners, landowners, farmers, agency staff, and industries. The event will feature locally relevant information and expert‑led sessions on key water‑related topics, including PFAS, soil and water interactions, local water testing and services, and conserving soil, water, and nutrients.”
Sessions will be held in Room EEC 103 of the Energy Education Center at 4000 Campus Road. The summit will provide expert-led discussions on subjects such as PFAS contamination and methods for conserving natural resources.
There is a $20 fee to attend the summit. Advance registration is required by March 9th. Lunch will be provided during the event. Participants who are Certified Crop Advisors can earn three Soil & Water credits.
